>Happy Father's Day

>Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Josh,
Conner is so blessed to have you as his daddy. I'm thankful that you are the daddy you are. I can not imagine a better dad for our kids. We love you tons.

A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.

PS; I'll do my 35w update tomorrow. Today is just for Dads!

>Typical Situation

>I just want to share what a typical night is like around here. I am fairly certain that people do not believe me when I say that Conner is a rotten sleeper. He really, really is. Last night was a good night for Conner. He got up twice. Why then am I complaining...here's how it all panned out.

Conner went to bed at 9:30. I woke up at 2 (I had to pee). I could hear water running so I looked outside to discover that Josh had left the sprinklers on. I debated on whether to wake him up or not. I decided that I'd go turn off the sprinklers but wanted him to be somewhat awake to listen for Conner. He told me that it was too dark for me to go outside (what?) and that he would do it. It took me a little while to fall asleep again. Conner woke up at 3:30. Once again, it took me a while to go back to sleep. Josh woke me up at 5:30 snoring SO loudly that even when I went downstairs, I could hear him like he was in the same room. Yes, I had my ear plugs in. Conner woke up at 6. Just as I was going back to sleep; Josh's alarm went off and he decided that TODAY was a good day to hit snooze 5 times. I think I feel asleep around 6:45. I woke up an hour later. Conner got up at 8. Doesn't all of that sound SO fun. I can't really blame it all on Conner but like I said, last night was a good night. Maybe once I have this baby, I'll be able to sleep a little better...oh wait, who am I kidding?!

See this face? that's how tired I feel today.

>Raising a Toddler and a Frat Party?

>One of my friends posted this on Facebook and being the mom of a toddler...well, I think these are mostly true.

How raising a toddler is like a frat party

10. There are half-full, brightly-colored plastic cups on the floor in every room. Three are in the bathtub.

9. There's always that one girl, bawling her eyes out in a corner.

8. It's best not to assume that the person closest to you has any control over their digestive function.

7. You sneak off to the bathroom knowing that as soon as you sit down, someone's going to start banging on the door.

6. Probably 80% of the stains on the furniture contain DNA.

5. You've got someone in your face at 3 a.m. looking for a drink.

4. There's definitely going to be a fight.

3. You're not sure whether anything you're doing is right, you just hope it won't get you arrested.

2. There are crumpled-up underpants everywhere.

1. You wake up wondering exactly how and when the person in bed with you got there.

Other additions:

Someone happily exclaims "BOOBIES!" (sometimes while trying on someone else's bra).

You have to hide the stuff you don't want broken.

The next morning, no one except you remembers what happened.

You'll have to go through the pictures to remove the ones your parents shouldn't see.

There is a fair chance that you will only understand 10 percent of what anyone says to you, even though they speak with great passion and in a loud voice.

you never know what you might find in the toilet.

dancing on tables, staggering and knocking things over is the norm.

Someone always ends up with marker drawings all over his face and/or body.

When a boy runs into the room, waiving his underwear over his head, doing the penis dance, no one even looks up.

Someone is going to hurl without notice

In the morning, everything smells like pee

Lifting up the lid of the toilet is always a gamble

There's always some bleary eyed fool watching the same movie over and over and over again

There is a good chance someone is dialing a phone number they shouldn't be dialing.

A girl running around the house half naked is the norm.

Always those that insist on taking a piss in the garden.

there's always that one person who's just begging to be picked up.

There is no food left in the house even though you went grocery shopping yesterday and no one will admit to eating any of it.

Every time the doorbell rings, you say a silent prayer that everyone will remain mostly clothed for the next 30 seconds and/or have the sense to stay out of eyeshot of the person at the door.

You can't remember the last time you went to the bathroom by yourself.

The mess is horrible and it's literally impossible to get it all clean at once, but it's all 100% worth it in the end.

>They don't match...

>Ok, so maybe I'm being a little bit too picky. I ordered some blocks for the baby's room and they came today. They are SUPER cute and I love the design and how she did them. BUT when I ordered, I sent a photograph not only of the wall color but also the bedding. Instead of using greenish colors, they are blue and instead of tan, they are brown. I can certainly get over the tan/brown thing but the blue/green...it's bugging me. I snapped a few pictures and it is pretty clear at the difference in the blue with the green on the wall. I have a dilemma though; do I contact her and rave about how great of a job they look and tell her that while I love the design they don't match or do I suck it up and just not say anything. If I would have made the letters, and they didn't match that would be one thing but due to the fact that I paid for them (and sent pictures that showed the colors)...well, it just bothers me. Clearly the blue doesn't match the green on the wall.

Am I being too picky or am I justified? You can decide for yourself.

>Appointment update

>Today I had my 34w appt. Dr. Rush says everything looks/sounds great. He's happy with my weight gain and says it's perfect. He's just very sweet though! Baby boy is still head down and he's low; not yet engaged but low, which explains the pains I've been having. Dr Rush says that he thinks I have 2 maybe 3 weeks until this baby decides to be born based on my "symptoms" and his position. SO, that's exciting and a little scary! Next week, I go back and get my Group B swab done..fun, fun. He wants to do it a week early...you know; just in case.

My mother in law is supposed to come over one day this week to help me organize the baby's room. I just feel overwhelmed in there. I open the closet and quickly close it back. I ordered some name blocks and they have been mailed. I really hope they are here tomorrow. I can't wait to get them. I'm pretty excited about it. Yesterday, I bought some frames to go above the changing table. It's all coming together!

You all know I think that every post needs a picture. Here are a few of my favorites from my maternity session (Thanks Victoria!)
