Soccer Time
So, soccer started last week (and I've tried to do this post a dozen times already). Conner is in love and Parker was devastated...why, you ask. Parker wasn't on the team. He is now. I signed him up. They are SO excited! First game is this weekend (P hasn't been feeling well, praying he's up for it)

Soccer
About 6 weeks ago, I signed Conner up for soccer. I am certain I was more excited about it than he was. We talked about it a lot, 'practiced' in the yard and I taught him a few things (trapping, passing, trying not to use his hands). Two weeks ago, we picked up his jersey, got his shoes/gear and started getting super excited. Today...FIRST game. Let me just start with O.M.G. cutest thing EVER. EVER. They 'practice' for a half hour and then play a 30 min game. There's no goalie but the kids have fun. Conner...little soccer star and I'm not saying that b/c he is my kid. It's the truth. He was listening to the coaches and doing what they said. He score THREE goals and was taking the ball from everyone (including his own team mates) using his feet. I took 80 pictures (can you say crazy mom?!). One of the coaches said, "Conner is a machine; our little secret weapon". Proud mama, you bet! After the game he declared himself "the greatest soccer player ever" Gah, I love that kid! Here are a few pics. He's number 5, green team (and the only one w/a shirt tucked in).

Sometimes the joys are just the opposite of JOY.
As the boys grow and develop their own personalities, the challenges are greater and I don't know what to do when those challenges arise. Often times, Conner bothers Parker until Parker loses it. Right now, Parker is laying on the floor screaming at the top of his lungs and kicking his feet (on the hardwood floors). He has been doing that for the past 10 minutes or so. This is the third time today that he has had one of these terrible fits. There is absolutely nothing I can do to calm him down. He gets snot all over his face and is a hott mess. But when he's done, he's done. He returns to his sweet little self.
In other news, this morning we went to IHOP (yum) and then we headed to Dick's Sporting Goods to get Conner some cleats, shin guards and a size 3 ball. He's playing soccer this year and I'm so excited about it; he's pretty excited too. His little shoes are the cutest cleats ever. Everything is just soooo small and so super cute! I can't wait until he gets his uniform next weekend. You know I'll have my camera ready! We picked up this set and saved about $20!
