>Weekend News

>We had such a busy weekend. I was pretty sick last week. Finally on Friday, I started feeling better. We had our ultrasound that day; if you missed the post, you an read about it here. After Conner's nap on Friday, we laoded up and went to my brother's to see Ryleigh. She's such a little doll. I did a quick newborn shoot and didn't really get too many great shots. She was very, very wide awake the whole time. Conner had a great time with Uncle Rusty and Savannah (their dog). Rusty has this nerf gun that Savannah goes nuts over. She likes for him to shoot at her so she can chase the laser. LOL. Conner thought that was the most hilarious thing ever. I've never seen him laugh that hard.

Since, I didn't get very many great shots of Ryleigh, I asked my brother and Janice when they thought she'd be alseep and I'd just come back. They told me that she lseeps all morning. Saturday morning, Conner and I went back! We got a HUGE surprise when we got there. My mom, sister and little brother had already came into town! YAY! I love when they are here. I miss them when they are gone but I'm thankful for the time we get. I did Ryleigh's shoot (so precious). You can see the sneak peek on my photography blog. We left their place and my mom, Katie and Thomas all came to our house. We spent the afternoon at the park; I was very much enjoying the 60 degree weather. It was short lived though b/c now the rain and cold are both back.

Sunday, we got up and went to the great place for breakfast. Conner ate and ate and ate. we went back to Rusty and Janice's b/c Katie and Thomas were leaving to go back to Baton Rouge. Sunday afternoon, we were outside. We played in the front yard, the back yard; everywhere. Josh and I washed my car. We ended the weekend with some yummy bbq chicken. I wish every weekend was that great! Nice weather, family time and fun!

>As requested...

>
Now, I'm 18w. It's insane how fast this pregnancy is going. I can't believe that I am almost halfway there! We had a busy weekend, which I will post about tomorrow. I've had a request for my picture; it IS Sunday. It's growing...slowly but surely!

>We're having a....

>BABY. That's all we know. A healthy, SLEEPING baby. This baby would not move at all. We poked, wiggled, smooshed; nothing worked to get this little one to wake up. The heartbeat was great. Everything looked perfect with baby number 2. I'm not going to lie; I was pretty nervous going into the ultrasound. I was terrified that something was wrong w/the baby and he/she wasn't growing properly (since I haven't gained much and my belly isn't that big). All is well. They didn't get all of the heart pictures that they like to get so, back to the specialist I go on March 19. I have another ultrasound at my regular OB on the 10, maybe we'll find out then. Who knows!

>Finally

>I mentioned that I was too lazy to go scan my ultrasound pictures. The other day, I had a meeting w/my real estate partner (doesn't that sound SO executive) so I brought the printer up to the main living area in this house. BUT, I'm still lazy b/c that meeting was a week ago and the printer is still up here. anyway, I decided I'd go ahead and scan in my ultrasound pics. Tomorrow is the day. eek.

12w5d; isn't the 3d completely freaky? it totally freaks me out.

>I heart Faces Photo Challenge; I wanna Dance

>Let me start by saying that I know there are so many things wrong with this picture. I refuse to remove my mommy goggles, therefore I adore it. My 15mos old was dancing around the living room showing off his candy necklace.

Check out all the other dancing pictures at i ♥ faces!

>Happy Mardi Gras

>My mom has started a new tradition of sending lots of Mardi Gras goodies to Conner (and now Ryleigh). Conner LOVES the balls and beads that he gets. This year, he also got some HUGE pixie sticks and 2 candy necklaces. Now, I don't typically give my kid straight sugar but Josh and I decided that it would be OK if he discovered what the candy necklace was all about. Lucky for me, Josh loves the pixie sticks so I won't eat those and neither will Conner...I have to draw the line somewhere!

>Painting is FUN!

>When Conner made Josh's Valentine's Day card, he thought it would be fun if I let him use the paint brush to actually paint paper and not just his feet. Since I am so fun, I gave him the paint brush (which was just about as big as he is), some paper and some paint. We don't paint very often because every time we've done it, he really hasn't been interested long enought to ut anything on the paper. Yesterday, was a different story. He loved it!

I know that my one reader everyone is waiting for my 17w belly picture. It's definitely growing. We find out on Friday if Conner is going to have a baby brother or a baby sister.

>Weekend News...this is long

>First of all, let me start by saing that we will be getting at least another inch of snow overnight tonight.

Friday, it started snowing and I was dying for Josh to come home. He didn't get off any earlier than normal, so I took Conner outside to play. He doesn't last long in the cold and wet but I enjoyed our 15min outside. He got a huge kick of watching Harley and Savannah (Rusty's dog) play in the snow. Conner let me know exactly when he was ready to go inside by throwing himself onto the wet, cold driveway.

Saturday morning, I put Conner down for his nap and Josh and I went outside. I swear, when it snows, grown men turn into 12 year olds...I'll explain. I had gone outside to take pictures of the outside of the house. We did get a few inches of snow and I wanted some proof! Well, Josh followed me and started making snowballs. I didn't really mind when he started to thow them at me; I can move out of the way. Here's where he turned into a 12 year old. He chased me down the street. Of course he caught me; guess where the snowball went? Down my shirt! Guess where the second snowball went? Down my pants! I'm a good sport so, I laughed hysterically. For 5 minutes, I totally felt like I didn't have any kids. When we came inside, Conner was screaming! So much for a nap!

Not long after we came in, the snow started to melt off of the driveway and I was thrilled! I couldn't wait to get to the hospital. I was dying to meet Miss Ryleigh. Boy is she a cutie pie! I saw her and immediately fell in love! She weighs 6lbs 3oz and is 19.5in long; such a tiny little thing. She slept the entire time we were there. I snapped a few pictures while I was there; I can't wait for her newborn shoot (so exciting!). I even got a sweet little smile. To say that I'm thrilled for my bother and sister in law is an understatement. Thrilled isn't even a strong enough adjective. I'm so happy for them, I've cried a few times (damn hormones, lol). Introducing Miss Ryleigh Elizabeth!
