>Outside!

>It's been so cold here lately and over the past week, we have had a few nice days. We have taken advantage of them and I don't know which member of my family has been happier about it. I took the kids outside one day, Josh had a day off on Thursday and we went to the park (it was spur of the moment but I wish I would have had my camera). Parker LOVED the swing and Conner...well, he discovered the BIG slide and was thrilled with how fast it went. We went back to the park today and Parker slept and Conner ran around for an hour. Parker had his first taste of dirt too...maybe I should feed that baby. He was not sure what to think of it.

>Giveaways

>
Anyone that knows me knows that I love a contest and free stuff. I really do. I enter to win all kinds of things and when a fellow blogger and follower hosts a giveaway, I jump on it. Not only is this blogger adorable, she reminds me of myself before I became a mom. It's bittersweet for me but that's fine with me. Maybe by my reading her blog, I will be able to find parts of me that have been hidden and buried for the past few years. Anywho, maybe I'll win something!

So What...

If I scurry around at 5 to clean up. I like to sit my butt on the couch during the day and honestly, when I put it away little hands pull it right out.

I refuse to buy new jeans b/c I don't buy double digit sizes.

Conner doesn't nap b/c I don't want to fight with him. When he naps he goes to bed after 10 and when he doesn't he is asleep by 8:15.

I always eat all of the sweets in our house.

>Just words

>Lately, Conner has been saying so many things. Some are hilarious, some not really, some are completely sweet and precious.
*When he wants anyone to hold him, he says "mama, hold, hold".
*He knows the difference between hot and cold and he makes sure that everyone knows when he's cold. He insists upon bundling up with a blanket.
*Yesterday, I told him, "Lord Have Mercy". Conner replied with "have mercy, mama".
*Yesterday, he licked play-doh and told me that it was "spicy"
*He loves money and insists that it remain in his pocket or in a bucket.
*He told me that I had cold feet and then he covered them up to warm them for me.
*He told Josh that he wasn't nice when Josh spanked him.
*He hates time out and says no the entire time he sit there.
*He loves to find me "treasures" from his nose...and he insists that I want those "treasures"
*His favorite food is spaghetti, then pizza.
*He loves chocolate milk but now it has to be warmed up. Cold just isn't good enough anymore.
*He tells me that he is nasty (nasee) when he gets dirty.
*When I give him kisses, he promptly wipes them off. Reverse psychology works for me to actually GET kisses from him.
*His favorite time of the day is when Parker (parter) wakes up. He announces it to everyone..."parter awate"
*When he hears the garbage truck, he puts his little hand to his ear and says, "I hear garbage truck"

>6mos

>Parker turned 6 months old yesterday. I can not believe that he is already a half year old. It certainly has gone by very quickly this time around. He had his well visit today. He weighs less than what I thought he did but he's still growing and that's what matters. Stats: 16lbs 11oz (35%); 27in long(78%). At 6 months he army crawls all over this house. He can scoot on his knees but hasn't figured out the hands/knees thing for movement. He sits independently. No, I don't mean that I will put him in sitting and he stays (although he does that too); He actually puts himself into a sitting position. He is trying to pull up (o.m.g) and he loves his solid foods. His favorite is avocado. He has had banana, apple, pear, squash and oatmeal. Next I'm going to puree some green beans and peas. So far, I haven't found anything that he won't eat. He grabs for toys and even takes them from Conner. I never thought I'd say that my 6mo old and 2 year old actually fight but they totally do. Parker knows things that Conner likes and he goes after them. When Conner takes them back, Parker screams at Conner. It's amusing sometimes. He has 2 bottom teeth; the pedi saw some more bulging so we should have more teeth soon. how exciting. He is OVER the exersaucer and jumperoo. He just wants to be on the floor. Every now and then, he gets his feet and legs under the couch and gets frustrated b/c he can't get out. Overall, he's doing wonderfully and I'm a proud mama.

Conner had to have Dr. Long look at him today too. Yesterday, he spiked a fever and told me his neck hurt, as he pointed to his throat. I immediately thought he had strep...and I was right. He has an ear infection too. He got that yummy pink medicine.

>Part of the Adventure

>I begged and begged for a YMCA membership. I promised that I would go every day and I even mapped out the classed I would do to prove to Josh that I was not kidding and it was not a fad. Fast forward; I've gone...ONCE and it was yesterday. Both kids did great. The childcare workers said they both did great...except...Conner. Well, he wasn't bad and didn't cry but he doesn't like to share. DUH, he's 2 and he doesn't have to share his toys. It's something we are working on and he will get better about it. I rode on this ARC trainer thing. It was tough and today I'm sore. I am going to go back tomorrow. I wanted to go back today and I still might. I'll have to see what the kids do after Conner's nap. Unfortunately, right now they kind of run things. speaking of running things, Parker is having a hysterical fit b/c he's in the jumpy and I'm looking at him and not holding him. congratulate me on taking that first step, ok?!

>So What Wednesday

>This week I'm saying SO WHAT...

I have a MOUND of laundry. hate laundry

I know the words to all of the Fresh Beat songs...and I sing along.

I returned some of the gifts that Josh bought me for Christmas.

I think Josh spent way too much money on me and that may or may not be the reason I returned stuff.

I refuse to wear "mom jeans" so I wear sweats and will do so until I lose this baby weight and my regular ones fit again.

I wore flip flops yesterday and it was 40 degrees.

I only wash my face once a day and it's in the shower.

I might want a 3rd baby even though I say I'm done.

What are you saying so what to?

I am stealing this fromThe Coach's Wife (she joined in on the original site) I like this idea and feel like it gives me some other reason to talk about me.

1. Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I don't have official resolutions but have a few goals. I blogged aboutmy 11 in 11
2. What food item are you craving right now? Surprisingly, nothing.
3. When is your birthday? April 13
4. What were you doing an hour ago? Paying bills while both kids slept
5. Last thing you cooked? Pork chops, rice, and steamed carrots. I also made a salad...well, that's not true. I microwaved a hot dog for Conner today and a lean cuisine for myself but that's not really cooking, is it?

>11 in 11

>Instead of doing a New Year's Resolution I'm going to document 11 things I want to do or accomplish in 2011.

1. Get Back in Shape
2. Keep up with my laundry
3. Get and stay organized
4. Take time for myself at least once a month (aside from exercise)
5. Put my work (photos) on my wall
6. Send photos of my kids to out of town family once per month
7. Do more crafts with Conner and Parker
8. Eat healthier options; you know, no more doritos and oreos.
9. Start using coupons again to save some money
10. Pay off my car and Josh's Harley (using $ that I make; not our money)
11. Laugh more
