So What Wednesday

It's been a few weeks since I participated in SWW but here we go.

So What Wednesday

This week I'm saying so what to...

It's Sunday and I'm typing this post so I do it.

I'm burnt out on work. I love being a photographer and equally love my clients but I'm really tired of editing.

I've gained tons of weight and part of me cares and the other part has pregnancy mentality...you know "I'm pregnant, I'll eat what I want".

I really need to organize my house...any one want to do it for me?

I'm excited to get my Christmas decorations out and up.

I have heartburn/indigestion every day. I am over. it.

I look forward to my workouts.

My maternity clothes are getting too small. It's insane.

What are you saying so what to this week? Go over to Shannon's blog and link up!

Still Alive

I'm still alive over here; just busy working but alive. The few readers I have know this though. Last week, the kids had school; Conner had a little program where all the kids sang (and I wanted to cry b/c little kids were singing). I videoed it but haven't uploaded yet. We had a picnic (thank you Chick-fil-a) but that was not a good day in our house. Let me explain...Parker didn't have school  that day. He was in rare form and did not want to listen, cooperate or anything positive in his life. I ran the errands I needed to run, picked up lunch and headed back toward school. On the way there, I hit a construction cone and my passenger mirror flew off. Awesome. I called Josh, he was pissed but didn't say much....love him. During the program, Parker rolled around on the floor and complained. We got home, and the dog had destroyed the trash. Seriously...the 10 year old dog. Then I dropped an entire bottle of cranberry juice on the floor....see one of those days.

On Thursday, I invited Josh's brother to go w/us to the Aquarium. I purchased a mommy and me pass and it was expiring so I needed to use it. The kids were good and it was fun but I was tired when we got home. No photos...I didn't want to deal with it being alone w/3 kids. The important thing is that we all had a great time and made a few memories.

Last night we went to our neighbor's house for a bon fire and cook out. They just had their 3rd baby 2ish weeks ago and I can't believe she was up for it but it was super fun and the kids had a great time. It was nice to have that adult conversation...even if the conversations were surrounded by children.

I snapped this photo yesterday morning...I feel so much bigger than I look. I seriously feel gigantic. I have no idea how I'll make it to my due date at this rate. I've gained almost what I gained  my entire pregnancy with Conner and I'm 23w and a few days! It's craziness! I have been working out a few times each week and I always feel so much better. I'm hopeful that the workouts will be beneficial once I have this little guy :)

The Zoo

On Sunday, Josh was home and it was awesome. We headed out to the zoo to let the boys see the animals and run off some energy. We had a great time and they were pooped when we left!

Day 8

Today I am thankful for happiness. It's the small things in life that keep us going...it's my kids waking up every day and then again after nap time. It's seeing them play together. It's hearing their conversations, it's having clients rave over the galleries that I send them. It's that look that Josh gives me...that same look for almost 12 years. The priceless, precious moments. The moments we can't get back.

A few days ago, Conner caught a lizard. It's a cute little lizard and it makes Conner very happy. He finds food (caterpillars and small spiders) for this lizard. He makes sure he has water. It's pretty precious.

It's feeling this tiny baby kick, seeing Conner's reaction when he felt him kick. It's knowing he's in there growing and wiggling. It's me going to the gym, I need those workouts. It's knowing that the little things I do for myself (chiropractor, gym, hot showers) make me healthier.

Thankful Day 7

Today I am thankful for having the ability to send my children to school. I know they are young and I agree that they are young but a little time away from me with other children is a beautiful thing. They are thriving at their preschool. I am thriving because of their preschool. They are blessed with amazing, God fearing, God loving teachers. These teachers truly LOVE being there; it comes across though the way they greet the children, they way the love on them, the way that my kids love being there. Parker has never even cried when I have left him (which makes a mama happy and sad). They get to learn new songs, make new friends, learn how to listen to other adults and I get to have time to work, go to dr appts, get my nails done, go to the grocery store, clean...you get the idea. Conner's teachers are nothing short of amazing. He comes home telling me all kinds of things he learned in Science, what his friends are doing. He is involved in their lives; he knows today is Ms. Tiffany's birthday and he's excited about it. Parker's teachers are also amazing. They are truly the best at introducing what 'school' is for these little ones. The best thing we have done for these boys (besides give them each other) is putting them at this school. For that, I'm thankful.

Thankful 5,6

I missed yesterday's thankful post and it's ok because these are really just for me.

As I sat here yesterday thinking about how I need to post a 'thankful', I just couldn't. It wasn't because I don't have anything else but it's bc I have so much. I am swamped with work and for that I am thankful. I am thankful for all of the beautiful families that put their faith in me (when it comes to capturing their families). I truly love my 'job' and can not imagine doing anything else. The money is not always flowing in and it certainly isn't steady but it makes my heart happy. My soul sings when clients are happy and love what I produce for them. I get school girl giddy when a client changes a profile picture on fb. I have put up 11 sneak peeks since Saturday.

Day 6: Election Day. I am thankful for the freedoms we have in this country. I am thankful that we vote.

Thankful Day 4

Day 4: Today, I am thankful for our beautiful home. We have a warm place to lay our heads at night. Our cupboards are filled with food for my family to eat. We all have clothes to wear on our backs. We have more than enough.

Sure, our home isn't grand or something that looks like came out of a magazine but it's ours; we live here, we love here and, like our hearts, it is full. It is full of toys, noise, love, dog hair, and most importantly we all live here together.

Happy Sunday!

Thankful Day 3

Nov 3: Today, I am thankful for my babies and for the gift of motherhood. I never thought that being a mama would be as hard as it is, nor did I ever think the rewards would be so great. It's the little moments that really matter; the moments when you've had a wretched day, the house is trashed, they kids have done nothing but fight and one kids hugs your legs and says "i miss you mommy (as if I've left that day)" and the other says, " I luvs you mommy". It's worth it. Every single second. I thank God every single day for my kids. I am so blessed to be their mama and I'm so thankful that we are adding a third to our chaos.

Thankful day 1 and some updates...or lack of...

Last year in November, I participated in the Thankful November on FB. This year I'm doing it but here, on my blog, where I can go back and read it,  instead of on fb. I don't need to be thankful for FB to see it, I just need to be thankful for me to see it (and the 4 readers that I have). Before I give you the 'update' from the specialist, I want to do Nov 1,2 thankful.

First and foremost I am thankful for my Lord and Savior. Even in spite of me, he still loves me and carries me when I need it. I am lifted up and have been prayed for this entire pregnancy and for that I am thankful. I am so, so thankful.

Day 2: I am thankful for Josh. Sure, we have our ups and downs but at the end of the day when our house goes quiet and the boys are still and sleeping, it's just me and him. I love him to the pits of my core and I can not imagine living this life without him helping me through. Without him, I would only be half and not whole.

Now for the (stupid) update. Every time I go to a dr, I get something different.  The ob thinks I have 2 placentas...the specialist said (last time) that I had an anterior placenta, yesterday they said I had a posterior placenta that was funual, meaning it wraps around the uterus. The dr asked if I had a c-section or d&c (seriously, is that NOT in my chart?!) and I told him I did but 5 years ago and prior to 2 babies. He said that he still thinks it's a scar tissue but that it wouldn't be from that. I'm so confused and frustrated. The tech did turn on the 4d yesterday and I will say that I think this baby is going to look like Conner. He has the same nose as both of the boys and it looks like he has Conner's mouth/lips instead of Parker's. That was a fun little moment. I just want it to be feb/march so I'm done w/pregnancy...sort of. I love feeling these teeny tiny baby kicks. It's my favorite.

Halloween

Halloween is over and the battles for the candy have begun in our house. I have been told that candy is food. Conner was super excited about trick or treating and he had BIG plans to go through the whole neighborhood and get the most candy ever. Parker lasted our street and one other, even with the wagon. I brought him home and cooked dinner while Josh and Conner kept going. In the end, Josh had to carry Conner home. They were up late and Parker was literally bouncing and giggling until around 11. They did not sleep in this morning and Conner wet the bed twice...seriously.
