>PB Sandwhiches

>Conner loves peanut butter. He likes to eat it on bread, off of a spoon, lick it off of a cracker. You get the idea. LOVES it. The other day, I made myself a PBJ and left out the jar of pb, the spoon and the bread out on the counter. I walked away to check on Parker and when I came back, this is what I found.

He was so proud of himself and I was proud too.

>Let's Be Real

>After Conner was born, I was back into my regular jeans by the time he was 3 weeks old. My baby weight melted off and I was thrilled about it. I remember being stuck at 134 (how I'd love to be 134 right now) and not being happy. I started working out after we were settled into our house (remember we moved when he was 8w old) and the pounds continued to melt off. When I got pregnant for Parker, I was 10 pounds lighter than I was when I got pregnant for Conner and it was also the lowest I had been in YEARS. I was finally starting to like how I looked again and my self confidence was up. I was running every single day and really enjoying my routine. Fast forward...I was pregnant and started contracting while exercising. I was told no more exercise or I'd wind up on bedrest again and frankly, I was NOT going to be put on bedrest again so I stopped exercising. It's been almost a YEAR since I have worked out. I can feel it. I feel it in my mushiness, my mood and my confidence. I need to start working out again. I really feel better (thank you celexa) and I know I need to start moving. I hate, hate, hate how I look right now. I've started GAINING weight and it is depressing. After Conner was born, it didn't take me too long to find my rhythm and get a routine down. I would work out during naps and I was getting the house clean. How nice! Now that I have two small children, I feel like I can not get any rhythm or a routine. I simply do not have any time at all for myself. My kids don't sleep at the same time at all. For example, Parker got up at 6 this morning. Conner got up at 7:20, Parker took his first nap from 8-9. We went out for a few hours. When we got home, Parker slept while I fixed Conner lunch. I put Conner down for his nap and within five minutes, Parker was awake. Parker was not a happy little guy and wanted nothing more than to be held. I finally got Parker to go back to sleep and as soon as he closed his eyes, I heard Conner say, "mama". There went my workout. The rest of the afternoon was me running interference between my two kids, cleaning up, doing more laundry and getting ready for dinner. That is a typical day. I think I have a solution, too. Josh and I have been talking about the YMCA and we've decided that we are going to get a family membership. I'm thrilled about this. I can't wait to join. I plan on going at least 4 days a week. They even have a mommy and me class on Thursdays that Conner and I can attend. How fun!

>4 months and a few updates

>Today, Parker is 4 mos old. I can not believe how fast time is going by. I swear it goes by faster for the second one. As of today, Parker can...

roll to get where he wants to go
tripod sit
smile
laugh
"talk"
grab toys
put weight onto his feet

He loves to watch his brother, sit and be held. He also loves to be on his tummy, the exersaucer and his bumbo seat. He loves music and to be outside. When he nurses, he insists upon holding my hands. If he can't find my fingers, he kicks and swings his arm until I give it to him. He hears my voice and smiles. It really melts a mom's heart. So sweet.

Now that he's doing more things, Conner is really interested in Parker. In fact, Conner tried to pick him up the other day. You can imagine how that ended. Just for a visual; imagine my 23lb 2 year old trying to pick up his 15lb brother. Thankfully, I caught him right as Parker was about to hit the floor. Parker is still a chunky little thing. I'm going to order him (they are in my cart) some 6-9mo jammies! crazy, isn't it?! It blows my mind. Here's my sweet, sweet chunky monkey.

Conner is also doing more things...well, talking more. Last night, he told Josh that he was "not nice" and he also said, "no bite, daddy". Josh had "bitten" his foot and he didn't like that! It seems like he has new words every day. He's repeating so many things, I really have to watch what I say now. Conner still LOVES to be outside and goes out every chance he gets. He's getting more brave around my MIL's horses and he knows most of his colors. I need to video my kids...

How am I? MUCH better. Is every moment of every day much better, no but I am doing much better. My emotions aren't completely all over the place, I am not as easily frustrated and the horrific thoughts that were going through my head have slowed down. I started my celexa about 3 weeks ago. The first 2 weeks were half of the dosage and I really didn't like that. As soon as I started the full dose, I could tell an immediate difference. I'm starting to feel like my old self and am happier. I'm going to join the YMCA b/c this girl is gaining weight instead of losing it. It's my fault b/c I love junk food and guess what I've been eating. All of the halloween candy that I like is gone but that's b/c it's attached to my hips now.

>4 Month and 2 Year appts

>Conner needed to have his 2 year well check done and well, Parker is almost 4 mos (next week) so when I made one appt, I asked if I could just do both at the same time. Of course they said yes because why would they want to make an already flustered mom more flustered?! So, I get up and honestly the morning is going great. Both kids are happy and we get in the car and head to the pedi. The whole way there I'm telling Conner that we're going to go to the DR so they can see how big he's gotten and he's arguing with me telling me we're going to see LoLo. LoLo is his BFF. Seriously, they love one another. When we got there, Parker was asleep and Conner was thrilled to see the fish tank and the train. Thanks where the good ended. Once the nurse called us back, he started screaming. He didn't want to take off his clothes, he didn't want the nurse to weigh or measure him and to measure his head...oh dear!! When it was Parker's turn, he flipped out. How dare that strange lady touch his brother! LOL.

Parker weighs 15.1lbs and is 25.5 in long. Conner weighs 23.3lbs and is 32.5 inches long. They both look great and the pedi was pleased that Conner had gone up in percentiles (he went from 2% to 4%) in his weight. That made me pretty happy! I guess letting the kid eat what he wants is working.

>Catching up

>This one is going to have to be long and wordy. It's been a minute or two since I've blogged and we've had a lot going on. Conner turned TWO. Who can believe it? We had his party at this little pumpkin patch. I am fairly certain that all of the kids had a great time. He got lots of new tractors, which made him a very happy little guy. He loved his cake but hated when everyone sang to him. He really liked opening his gifts. It was very cute. After discovering how many new tractors he got, he had to test them out in the dirt. It took Josh and I 15 minutes or so to convince him we needed to go home.

On his actual birthday, we made cupcakes. He loves to bake with me and it's not something I do often because then I am the one that eats all of it! He doesn't really care for the bread part of cake and cupcakes, it's the icing he loves. Who can blame him for that?!

The next day was Halloween! Conner and Josh carved pumpkins for the porch.

Of course I dressed my boys up and off we went. Parker wasn't too thrilled and cried so I brought him home but Conner...well once he figured out that he could knock on the door and someone would give him candy, it was "Thank you" city. After he would say thank you to people, they thought it was SO cute, and he got even MORE candy.
