>Thankful Thursday

>I almost forgot that it was Thursday!

*I am thankful for good doctors.
*I am thankful for my hubby. He was up most of the night w/Conner and I.
*I am thankful for my brain. I like to think and be challenged.
*I am thankful for all of the blessings that are in my life.
*I am thankful for motherhood. As hard as it really is, it is worth every second.
*I am thankful for Conner kisses...even if he only gives me kisses so he can wipe them off and hear me say, "Oh, please don't wipe that off"!

>It's Thursday, people! I know I don't always remember to to my Thankful Thursday but I'm really trying to be better.

Today I'm thankful for...

Josh coming home last night. We have "black ice" here. Let me explain...for those of you with regular ice and you northerners, you can just start laughing. We're not equipped, OK? Black ice is when the roads start to freeze and nothing else. It typically happens late in the day and is not visible. Josh left work and it took him FOUR hours to get home b/c of this ice. I have never been happier to see his big truck pulling into the driveway. It made me realize exactly how I could never live without him.

*Coffee and pumpkin spice creamer.

*A good shower.

*Friends that love me in spite of myself.

*Supportive family members

*Christmas lights...or Ho-Ho Lights as Conner calls them. They are just so pretty and I love them

*Online shopping. I don't have to "deal" with my screamer in the store and it still gets done. The best part is that it arrives right at my door.

*That new triamentic fever reducer/pain reliever stuff. It works SO much better than Tylenol for Parker. Those teeth might do me in.

*Our warm, cozy home.

*Days where Conner is such a little angel (like yesterday, he was SO good)

*The little 2 year old parrot we have here. He's so cute when he tries to repeat everything.

Thankful Thursday

It's Thursday, people! I know I don't always remember to to my Thankful Thursday but I'm really trying to be better.

Today I'm thankful for...

Josh coming home last night. We have "black ice" here. Let me explain...for those of you with regular ice and you northerners, you can just start laughing. We're not equipped, OK? *I'm thankful for my hubby. The kids and I are so blessed to have him in our lives. He's a great hubby (even when I complain, he's more awesome than awful) and a great Daddy. Conner adores him and now Parker is taken by him too.
*My gorgeous boys. I'm beyond thankful that they are healthy. I look at Parker and I thank God that he has 2 of what he should have 2 of and that his eyes and ears work. He's perfectly created; just like his brother. Conner is thriving (they both are) and I'm thrilled to have perfectly healthy babies.
*Good friends. You know who you are and for you I'm thankful. You get me through rough (think PPD) times and times when I'm angry and just need to vent. You're there when I laugh and when I cry.
*Family. My mom and sister are coming for a visit this weekend and I could not be more excited!
*A warm home and food on our table.

*My microfiber mop. It does wonders on the hardwood floors.

*Candles. Conner walks around "sniffing" the candles. Hilarious!

*Nice neighbors. They are very patient with Harley.

*Chicken Noodle soup. Conner and I have had the worst cold this week. Josh made some soup and we have enjoyed it very much. Both Conner and I were sad when it was gone.

*Our new toybox. I got a deal at Ross and I couldn't be happier with it. Now I have a great place to put Conner's toys. It also looks better than that diaper box.

*Rescue Me. The season Finale was Tuesday. I love that show; it's a guilty pleasure and I'm sad that I have to wait for it to return.

*Fall TV. House starts soon! Can't wait!!!!

*My hubby. He's more awesome than he's awful.

*Cooler weather. It's no longer in the 90s with 90% humidity anymore. I might just open the windows today.

*My sister and her roomie, Bri. They have been here for a few days and not only are they going to save me &168 bucks by making C's birthday cake (that's a whole different post) but they are SO helpful with him.

*Our new hardwood vacuum. It's awesome!

I am thankful for

*hardwood floor cleaner. It makes my floors look like new.
*rain. I love rain. It rained yesterday and it was awesome. We need the rain anyway.
*early bedtimes. I went to bed when C did the other night and those extra few hours (even though it was broken sleep) really helped me.
*babies. I'm taking pics of sweet baby Alaina today. I can't wait!
*Happy babies. C has been a fussy mess the past few days. I love when he's happy.
*playgroup. We haven't been to one all week and I'm totally looking forward to the park tomorrow. It's going to be great seeing all of our playgroup friends.
*Jeans that fit! nuff said.
*Baby smiles and laughs. They make everything all better.
*Mexican restaurants. before I had C, Josh and I went to Mexican every Thursday. I think we're going to start that tradition again but on Wed. A local place here has "bike Wed" for motorcycles and Josh LOVES that. We went last night. Conner was very happy with his balloon!

I am thankful for

*hardwood floor cleaner. It makes my floors look like new.
*rain. I love rain. It rained yesterday and it was awesome. We need the rain anyway.

*playgroup. We haven't been to one all week and I'm totally looking forward to the park tomorrow. It's going to be great seeing all of our playgroup friends.

This is getting harder for me. It's not that I'm not thankful for things but I just have a hard time finding new things that I'm thankful for.

*Coffee. Many days I don't think I'd be able to wake up without it. The first sip is the best one!
*New friends. I have been making new friends lately and I love it. These women are amazing women and we all have things in common. It seems like we're all in the same chapter of our lives.
*Nap time. Nap time gives me a chance to work out, sleep, clean. Whatever I need or want to do that day.
*New babies. One of our very good friends just became parents and their new baby girl is just precious. She's so, so little and so sweet. (no it did not make my ovaries hurt. I'm totally not ready for number 2).
*gym clothes. I typically wear gym clothes every day (unless we have a play group or somewhere to go). I'm so glad I have so many too b/c my clothes still don't fit right.
*P90X. I just started this yesterday. It sucks but in the best way possible. It's SO hard. It will get me in shape.
