>18 bucks

>I've been trying to find ways to save money and clipping coupons is my new hobby. I love to see the savings and I'm (slowly) learning the right ways to go about doing just that! I clipped my coupons and started going through the sale papers yesterday. I get excited about the thought of savings! Conner and I ventured out to Publix today and I got all of this for 18 bucks!

I saved 35.39! I always call Josh to tell him my amount spent/amount saved and he always makes me feel stupid. He just doesn't get as excited as I do!

For those of you that follow my blog, there is no weekend news this week. Hopefully next week we will do something that is post worthy.

>Conner-isms

>I want to do a post all about things that Conner loves/hates. I don't want to forget this stage of his life. He's so much fun and has a great little personality.

*The door stopper. It has to be the spring ones. They BOING and he dies laughing. SO cute.

*Balloons. Loves them

*He hates and I mean HATES the baby gates. He just wants them out of his way.

*He loves to tear up the toilet paper.

*He is walking all over the place and loves to chase Harley.

*When he drinks out of his sippy cup, he leans his head all the way back. After each sip, he says "ahhh".

*When he's eating, if he really likes something he smacks his lips.

*He loves to push cars around and throw balls.

*If he doesn't have anything in his mouth and I ask him what he has in his mouth, he sticks his tongue out!

>Thankful Thursday...a day late.

>I totally forgot!

I am thankful for:

*playdates. They give Conner and I something to do and they make for really good naps!

*Balloons. Conner loves balloons. Loves them. He sees one and starts saying "oon, oon". So cute!

*Running. I've been doing so good! I feel great and it always makes a bad mood turn into a good one.

*My family.

*The sun! It rained and rained...so much that the back of my neighborhood flooded! I was so happy to see the sun!

*Fall TV. Now, I'm not much of a TV watcher but I LOVE fall TV. House, Grey's, Private Practice (starts next week), Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory, HIMYM. I'm sure there are more. Oh, Josh has me ADDICTED to Sons of Anarchy. It's on FX. Intense and awesome!

What are you thankful for?

>Weekend News

>Our weekend was great! We didn't really do anything spectacular but we were all together and that made it great! Saturday, we went to this Harley dealershop because they were supposed to have a leather expo. Well, because of all of the rain, the expo was cancelled. Conner loved looking at all of the bikes; I think we're in trouble there. I'm going to be a nervous wreck with my kid and husband on bikes. LOL. We had a birthday party to go to for a 7 year old Saturday afternoon. It's so fun to see the difference between boys and girls! I'm certain for Conner's 7th birthday he won't be interested in the same things that little girls are interested in. There was another little one there; he is 19 months old and he definitely didn't like that Conner was chasing him and trying to take his toys.

Yesterday started with breakfast at Waffle House. Conner loves their hashbrowns and waffles. YUM! We braved the torrential downpour and went to IKEA. Oh how I love IKEA. I just wish Conner loved it as much as I do. I can't shop like I used to. LOL. We looked at everything from furniture to toys. We picked up a rug for the living room, Josh got himself a new cutting board and Conner got this great wooden banging toy. I'm not really sure how to describe it. It has a hammer and these pegs that you hit down. He told us that he's really into hitting and banging things. He promised not to hit us so we let him buy it. When we got home, the little man took a nap and then we let him play in the rain. Boy, he LOVED that! Josh put a chicken in the smoker and we just relaxed.

This might have been my favorite weekend in a long time...even with all of this rain. Yes, it's still raining.

How was your weekend?

>Such a sweet baby

>My good friend asked me to come over and take some pics of her sweet 8 week old baby. I love to take pics so I jumped on the opportunity to shoot someone other than Conner. She's so precious.

See!

>hmmm, not a lion

>While at Wal-Mart today, I saw this really cheap cute lion custome, so I grabbed Conner's size. I couldn't wait to try it on and he seemed excited! I put the costume on and Conner took it off! I guess it's going back. What am I going to put him in that doesn't have a head piece that he can throw off?

See how cute!

>Weekend News

>I can't believe another weekend has come and gone. Time is flying by!

Friday, Josh got home from work and was not in a good mood. He's been having a hard time lately. He really doesn't like what he's doing but right now it is what it is and we're thankful he has a job. It didn't take long for Conner to cheer him up. No one likes a cranky daddy! We put C to bed and sat outside and grilled steak and veggies. YUM.

Saturday was supposed to be an "off" day but Josh had to work (on reason he wasn't happy on Friday). He surprised me and got home at NOON. We loaded up the baby (after his nap) and went to Bridgemill. Saturday was their annual neighborhood sale. I really wanted to find one of those bulky plastic playgrounds for Conner but there weren't anymore. As we were driving out of the neighborhood, we passed a familiar house. I recognized the child on the lawn. I babysat that kid when he was 2, 3 and 4. Now he's 7. Anyway, they were trying to get rid of his train table/city/train. We were more than happy to pay them for it but his parents refused to accept any money. Now, Conner has a great train table and Josh and I are thrilled about it! I love it even more because Ryan was SO happy that he gave it to my kid. So sweet. Love those kids. Saturday night, we went to the concert in the park. We had a great time. Conner was all over the place and so happy to see so many other kids. Josh and Conner had a great time playing.

Yesterday we went to the fair with the ILs. It was a very small fair with not a whole lot. I did show Conner how to feed the ponies. He liked watching them slobber all over my hands but he wasn't too interested in touching them at all. He loved the lemonade! After the fair, we came home. Conner and I napped. I did not mean to fall asleep but I used Josh as my pillow and got way too comfy. We went out for Mexican last night.

We had a great weekend! I hope you did too!

Fun at the concert'

>Hurricane Conner

>Conner LOVES to play in drawers. He loves the tupperware drawer, the bathroom drawer and the cabinet that has the wooden bowls and trays in it. I don't mind because I know he has tons of fun. I don't necessarily like the clean up but it makes me laugh to see him go nuts!

The other day, I was putting laundry away and he decided that it would be a great time to empty one of the bathroom drawers. I'm fairly certain that this child had a great time!

I can't believe it's THURSDAY already! WOW!

I am thankful for...

*paint! It's amazing what you can do with something you hate. Paint makes it lovable again.

*cooking on the grill. Tonight is steak and potato night. That means Josh will do the cooking and I won't have to do anything.

*My hubby. nuff said

*Family.

*Our health

*Football season. LOVE it.

*Cooler air.

*My jogging stroller. I've started running again (I'm sore but it feels SO good) and I love that stroller. Conner and I jam out while I run. He loves it!
