Fall Festival

We have had a busy October (already) but it's been fun. The kids have had soccer and have been sick. We spent the weekend on a gorgeous lake a few hours north of us and hit up a fall festival where we ate (until I wanted to gag) kettle corn, played in a creek (but didn't get wet, it was chilly), went fishing and just got away. It was super fun and I wish I could just permanently live that way but that isn't reality...it was fun and I think it was really needed. I like my hubby more now and that's always a good thing ;)

**disclosure, this post will have a lot of photos. I'm not sorry for it.**

My favorite thing about this festival is the old school. Parker liked ringing the school bell.

Conner thought this big pumpkin was awesome!!
Parker kept chasing the train! He was so excited when he finally got to ride it.

Tyler was just happy to be held. He loves Papa.

The next day we went to another festival (ate more kettlecorn) and played in the creek.

While they played, I took photos of my baby. why not?!

When we got back, we went fishing. The sunset was outstanding!!!

Mini-Vacation

A few weeks ago, my in-laws decided to take a very last minute trip to Panama City. They wanted to bring the boat and go snorkeling bay side on Shell Island. They invited us and we said YES. I always, always, always have (in my head) the idea that vacation will be SO fun and no work. It's always the opposite of that but at the end of the day we get some together time and the kids enjoy themselves.

Each day, we'd head out of the bay toward Shell Island, find a 'good spot' and beach that boat. Conner learned to snorkel and we found lots of hermit crabs. Tyler LOVES the water. I just wish we would have had one full beach day, instead of bay days but it was still a get away and for that I'm thankful.

We even found some time one night for an amusement park! We got rained on but that's just part of the fun! I have NO idea why Parker was frowning, he was in LOVE with the rides.

Can't catch up...or keep up

***warning, this post has a lot of images***

OK, so it's been a month since I blogged. It's terrible. In the past month, we went on vacation, Conner went to VBS and Tyler is more alert and doing more.

Speaking of Tyler, he's getting SO big. I took the big kids to the pedi last week for a physical (more on that later) and asked if I could put Ty-Man on the scale...um, 12lbs 13oz. I can NOT believe that he will be 4mos old soon. It's going by way, way too fast. He is rolling everywhere and is the happiest baby. He sleeps 6 hours at night now (yay) and loves to be outside (who doesn't?). He's starting to teethe and has discovered his thumb, which he loves. He's wearing mostly 6mo clothes and some 6-9mo onesies. He smiles all the time and will laugh at me and I die every single time.

The big boys...they are great! They aren't really doing anything new right now but they are getting big. I can't believe in less than a month Parker will be 3. Crazy. Parker still likes pirates but has discovered the magic of Toy Story and sings "you've got a friend in me". It's the cutest thing ever. He anc Conner are getting to the age where they actually play together instead of beside one another and the conversations that they have are so cute to listen to.

I haven't been taking as many photos as I should be but here are some from the past month :)

how am I?? I'm good. I still have about 15lbs to lose and I started the Advocare 24 Day Challenge today. I'm really hoping that it will help to kick start my metabolism and help me to get the last of this baby fat gone. It was challenging today, but only b/c the kids had to have some dental work and were sedated for it so we were at children's all day. Last night, I packed a cooler of foods and was determined to make it work and I did! I'm really excited to do this. Stay tuned!
