>ugh, it's FRIDAY not Thursday

>I SUCK. What is wrong with me. I just can't seem to keep it straight anymore. Once again, Thankful Thursday is a day late (just like C's birthday post, can you say crappy mom?).

I am thankful for

*Awesome Fall Days. Not only is my run especially wonderful on those days but we play outside and that makes my baby happy. Happy baby=Happy Mommy.
*The grill. Josh fires up the grill at least once a week. On those days, he cooks and cleans up. It's SO nice to have that break.
*Naps. Yesterday, Conner didn't really nap and I realized exactly how badly we both need him to.
*Our playgroup. We always have fun with them. Today is the halloween party. Can't wait! *I promise to blog about it.*
*Candles. There is nothing better than a quiet house with a good smelling candle burning. It's peaceful.

>I know, as usual; a day late. It's not easy to always find the time to sit down and type out my feelings with a busy one year old to chase around. Normally, he is chasing me. He keeps me very, very busy and has decided to start throwing fits. I don't mean small fits, really big 2 year old fits. It's not fun at all. He knows what he likes and doesn't like and what he wants and doesn't want.


The past year has been awesome; much better than I ever could have imagined. My love for our son has grown immensely and I feel that it will just continue to grow. Sometimes, I look at him and it takes my breath away. He's the most amazing thing.He has changed my life in so many ways and with those changes he has brought unspeakable joy. He's hilarious, serious, stubborn and so easy to love. I can't believe he's already one! I won't lie and say I didn't cry...I totally did. It's not that I'm necessarily sad I'm excited too. I'm thrilled to watch him grow into such a sweet, cute little boy. I'm so happy to be his mom (even on the really rough days).

Happy Birthday Conner!

I know, as usual; a day late. It's not easy to always find the time to sit down and type out my feelings with a busy one year old to chase around. Normally, he is chasing me. >Weekend News

>We had a very big weekend here. Friday, my sister came back into town and brought her roomate, Bri with her. I had big plans for them. Bri LOVES to bake and decorate cupcakes, so that's what she did! She made all of the cupcakes and the huge one for Saturday. Wait, what did I need cupcakes for?! Saturday, we celebrated Conner's birthday! I know, I know we did it early but that's ok. He didn't mind. Saturday morning, my mom got here and I was running all over the place like a crazy person. Planning a party is not an easy task. Everything turned out great! Conner looked adorable in his sock monkey shirt, he loved all of his gifts but didn't really care about the cupcake. He cried when we sang Happy Birthday; I guess he didn't really like all of that attention.

Speaking of gifts, for a One year old, he got some great stuff. Josh and I got him a huge playground. He got some puzzles (which he LOVES) and an old timey top. He also got a power wheels, a slide (that we'll keep inside), a ball pit, a laugh and learn bear, some awesome blocks, a cool helicopter that has balls and his FAVORITE thing....MONEY. When he saw the money, he grabbed it and waved it around. It's as though he knows what it is! ha!

Sunday, we had another party! Kaiden turned 3 (well, her real birthday is Thursday) so Conner and I went to Catch air to celebrate. I didn't take any pictures from the party but Conner had a great time. He loves all of our playgroup friends. I do too.

Weekend News

*The deck and new roof on it. Josh, my FIL and one of the guys that works with them worked very hard for the past few days on our deck. It has a fresh coat of paint and a new (real) roof on it. Looks great!

*New cars. I'm getting an SUV. Don't know what kind but just that it's going to happen soon. YAY! I love my altima, but really it's too small.

*Sisters. Mine is always a big help when she's here.

*Mexican food. We went out last night and it was SO good. I wish we went out more often...

*good friends.

On another note, Conner's party is tomorrow and I'm freaking out. NOT READY. I'm not ready for my baby to be one. Sad but exciting.
