Good Finds

Now that I have the kids in the same room, I've been trying to organize it. I have a huge problem though. As I mentioned, my MIL bought the furniture for the room. It's just fine for furniture except the fact that in 3 pieces, I have TWO drawers and those drawers...well, they are small. Conner's old furniture (it's nice JCP expensive stuff) had 3 drawers but they are adult size drawers. Parker has the same kind of furniture but he has 5. Ok, so now I get to work with 2...SMH. I told Josh that I was NOT going to be able to work with that. I need a dresser and it needs to have more than 2 drawers. In an effort to not get rid of what she bought, we went to the Goodwill on Monday. We didn't find a dresser but we did find a new 4-wheeler power wheels. We didn't know if it worked, it looked like it just lived outside and that someone didn't really take care of it and it was $15. Josh just had to buy it. We got it home and within about 10 min he had it running.

Yes, Parker is crying. He did not want to ride w/Conner, he wanted to drive. He quickly got over it and moved on to other activities.  They even played together a little bit.

Conner even decided to ride the scooter down the hill. He fell but saved himself.

These boys sure do love to be outside :) I don't mind either because the inside of my house stays clean :)

So What Wednesday

I'm linking up with Shannon again this week for So What Wed.

This week I'm saying so what to...

  • My boys are at school and I have full intentions of putting away laundry, washing laundry and cleaning the upstairs....yet I am blogging.
  •  Conner fell asleep last night and I didn't even make him change his clothes before he did. No bath last night either. I hate bath time.
  • Conner fell out of his bed last night.
  • I showered this morning and put gym clothes on. I can't even work out.
  • I wanted nothing more than to go to the gym after I dropped the kids off today. I miss it. I haven't worked out in over a week. :/
  • The starbucks website is driving me crazy. I just want to register my gc so I can get free stuff.
  • I link up with Shannon b/c 1. I love her and 2. she has way more followers than I do. I want more. I'm so not as fun as she is...I'm pretty boring.

Big Boy Bed

As I have mentioned in the past, we decided that the best option for us was to put the boys in a room together. Obviously I wanted to do this sooner than later so that if there is a transition period, we could get over those bumps long before a new baby comes in and rocks our world makes our hearts grow. Last week, my MIL came over and brought everything that she had purchased for a room. I won't get into it but she planned the whole room and I didn't really know much about it. I did get to pick out the headboards and I love them!

I bought pool noodles for their beds...instead of safety rails. 1. it's way cheaper...well, that's the real reason. I decided that the noodles were 'installed' so last night was the night. They were sleeping in their new beds. HUGE success! It took Josh and I each laying on a twin bed but they went to sleep and we didn't hear a peep until this morning. I had to wake Conner up!

I took some pics of the room but Parker's quilt isn't here yet so I am going wait until I get that to post them (and then I'll take new pics). I did take some pics of them in their beds though :)

Here's what the noodles look like. I just put them under the fitted sheets.

It's belly time.

Now that my due date has changed, I hit new weeks on Tuesdays so I thought I'd just post belly pics on Tuesdays instead of Saturdays. Anyway, today, I'm 13 weeks. I woke up this morning and nothing fit. Regular clothes don't want to button and maternity clothes are just annoying. I really, honestly don't like maternity pants that much. I know I will have to get over myself though. I'm pregnant in the winter! I can't live in dresses this time unless I just want to be cold. Hopefully after this awkward stage passes, the pants will be better.

I feel little tiny baby kicks. It's like someone is flicking me from the inside. I thought I felt something a week and a half but I chalked it up to insanity. Who really feels a baby at 9.5w? Um, I was really 11.5 and that does happen with subsequent pregnancies! That's always super fun!

I am also in a much better place that I was last Wed when I googled. I just can't sit around and worry about something that I can't control, change or fix. I can revel in this pregnancy and enjoy it. I can continue to be excited about our family growing.  I do not like the fact that I can not exercise and fell like an addict going through withdrawals but I will survive with no work outs.

Here's my 13w belly.

Praise Him

Since I shared the news of our ultrasound (and I know it's not fatal but it's different and alarming) I have had many people reach out to me with prayers, scriptures and kind words. I will forever be thankful. I can say that I am honestly ok and am not worrying. God's got this. It is out of my hands and I can't do anything. I change anything, I can't make my body cooperate. In the past when I have needed encouragement in song, I have turned to Casting Crowns. I have no idea why but they always bless me with their music. Last week on Monday, Praise you in this storm came blasting across my car speakers and I lost it. It's like I knew something wasn't right. Today is Sunday, I youtube'd the song and cried. I am touched, blessed and will Praise Him in this storm.
The part that always gets me...well there are 2...

I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

the second set is specifically true. I am not as involved in my Christianity as I have been in the past but I always turn to Him.

Friday FIVE

It's Friday, people. I got all crazy and created a button. Now if I can figure out how to share it...I'd be good.

It's cute, huh?

FIVE things I love (not people, things)

  • Exercise. I won't lie. I love to work out. It keeps me sane and my booty firm. I am sad that I am not allowed to exercise anymore and they will revisit that at my 16w appt. I'll survive though.
  • Coffee. I can't start my day without my coffee.
  • Designer jeans. Call me a snob, I don't care. I love my jeans.
  • Shoes. I love shoes and shoes of all types. love shoes.
  •  Lip gloss. I have lots of different brands and colors. I can't say I have a FAV brand. I just love lip gloss.

What are 5 things you LOVE?!

words...

sometimes words are just words; other times words are more than that. I emailed a former coworker and a true woman of God. I just told her about my situation and asked if she would keep me and our new baby in her prayers. She will. I wanted to share her response. these are more than words.

Wow!! Congrats on the new life! Well, I will sure keep you and the baby in my prayers. I do pray for your strength while you wait, watch and pray. I will also pray that with whatever happens you have peace with it. Knowing who God is I know sometimes He gives what we need and at times we can't see why He gave us that (if that makes sense) smile I also know that Romans 8:28 is perfect for any person living and following after God. For all things, good/bad must work out for our good! So during this waiting period, trust God that His will be done and keep your eyes on God and NOT what it looks like or feels like. Continue to delight yourself in God and He will give you the desires of your heart. In all situations and this one, SPEAK LIFE whole and complete. Kick doubt, fear and unbelief out the door! Open the door to health, joy, peace and a new bundle of joy (girl) to love! smile She probably is a girl, they usually have more drama than boys wink Hope that helps and still praying .

tears are flowing. I'm speechless.

Update time

So I had my appointment yesterday and we got mixed news. I'll be honest and upfront, just after my appointment I was not worried just concerned as the dr said I should be and then I googled...I'll get to that. First let's go with the good stuff! I thought I was 10w4d yesterday; little baby measured 12w1d so they moved my due date to March 12. woot, woot!! Everything (uultrasound wise) looked great for the NT scan. The baby has a good strong heartbeat of 162 (and before you go saying, omg girl...my boys had high heart rates as well). YAY for a healthy baby in there with a good heartbeat!

Here's the 'concerning' part. I have something called amniotic banding. Basically, there are 2 pockets of fluid present. If I had to guess, I'd say that baby is in the side that is 80% and the other pocket is 20% of my uterus. Here's how the dr. explained it to us. During implantation, weird things happen...the pocket could be old blood from implantation; it could be a blighted twin.  A blighted twin just means that there were 2 eggs implanted and one never developed into a baby but there's still a pocket present. MOST times the body absorbs the fluid and sometimes the fluid travels and bleeding occurs. She said that if I have any bleeding to NOT panic, call them and get in for an u/s the next day or that day if they have any availability. She made this comment "we don't want baby getting all tangled up in this". I did not know what that meant...but I do now, thanks to google. There is something called amniotic banding syndrome and  baby gets dianosed with this AFTER birth IF they get mixed up in the fluid area where the banding is. Here's what happens...if the baby flings a body part into that area, blood flow is cut off and development stops (this could mean nubs for fingers, missing fingers, missing limbs). now, since my baby is being a good boy or girl and is not in w/the banding we don't have any of that going on...this is why we are watching it. I won't lie on here, yesterday I sat here and  cried and just prayed that this banding will resolve itself and that the baby  will stay on his/her side of it. Now that I'm tying it out, it sounds so selfish. there's nothing to worry about right now, yet I made my self sick and sat here and cried for a good hour over the 'ifs'. I need to enjoy this. It is my last pregnancy.

Do you really want pics of my uterus? Sure you do! All of these photos are upside down because baby was face down/on his or her belly.

For good measure; Here's a belly pic I took this morning 12w2d!
