With her help, I made a set of panel curtains and a blanket. I am very proud of myself. With the left over material, I can still make a few pillows, a lampshade cover and who knows what else!

My lovely sister came over this weekend and she is great with a sewing machine. Me on the other hand, not so much. UNTIL, she gave me a lesson. With her help, I made a set of panel curtains and a blanket. I am very proud of myself. With the left over material, I can still make a few pillows, a lampshade cover and who knows what else!

>After a long day, I'm finally home. I was at the doctor's office for a long time, then I sat in traffic for 3 hours. It sucked. They could not find any reason for the cramping. She said that it could be the start of a bladder infection and it's not registering in the urine yet. The pain is not RL. The u/s was great! The baby was pretty still and my cervix is long and closed, not funneling. He's still a boy! My placenta looks great. As far as the cramping goes, I am just supposed to drink water and rest. I can also take warm baths. If the cramps get worse, got to L&D, if I still have them next week, I have to go back in. I would post some ultrasound pics right now, but I'm am so tired. Maybe after I eat something.

The baby was cute on the ultrasound! I got to see his nostrils; he looked like a little piggy or a frog. I know, they aren't the same, but still. He kept his hands near his face the whole time. He is/was head down. His legs were over his head. His little heart was beating away at 150bpm. That always makes me smile. I'm so relived that he is A-ok in there. I'm just going to relax this weekend.

I'm actually sitting in my car writing this between appts (using the hospital's internet). My first appt was an internal exam. My cervix is closed, but he found no reason at all for cramping or the lower back pain and abdominal pressure that I have. He said that my urine was clear (I imagined it was considering I drank 150 oz of water yesterday). He is still concerned due to the duration of the cramps, so I have an ultrasound at 2 today; about 20 minutes from now. He said the ultrasound will determine if my cervix is funneling or shortening; which is not a good thing, but if it is, it's good we found it early rather than later.
I know my little guy is OK though. He is in there wiggling around. I hope that they find a reason for my abnormal cramps, I just don't want a scary reason. In my mind, if something isn't normal, there must be a reason for it? We will see.

I left the dr. office and got some lunch and went to bloomingdales. I picked up a few cute things for the baby. For some reason I just can't shop for myself right now. I'll post some pics when I get home.

I was about a third of the way into my walk when I started getting some cramps. Of course, I immediately freaked out and went straight home. In 3 hours I had 68 oz of water. The cramping was still there. I emailed my OB and of course I never heard back from him. I decided that I'd just lay down. That worked until I got back up. All this time, I could feel the baby moving around and kicking. Around 5:30 or 6, I decided to just go ahead and call the on call doctor. A semi-nice person called me back within 15 minutes or so. She told me that I was to do nothing. Put my feet up and be sure to drink water. She also told me not to go on my walks for a few days. She really freaked me out when she told me that if the cramping got worse to go to Labor and Delivery. If I still have cramps today, to call the office and go in for a visit. I did as I was told. Low and behold, I STILL have cramps today. I woke up to some round ligament pain. That hurt. I just have dull cramping and I'm trying to decided whether or not I need to call the doc and go back in. I know what they'll do. They will pull out the doppler and listen, which is fine, but I can fell him moving.

I will eat breakfast and then decide. I hope today is not another day of cramp hell.
