>wow

>I was going to blog about how Conner nursed 8 times between 11-7 but then I decided to clean out my email...

I decided that I'd clean out my inbox this morning. I haven't cleaned my email up in a while so I started with the oldest. It seems that I saved the replies that people sent me right after my miscarriage. That seems so long ago. 12/11/2007. It's a day I won't forget but don't necessarily want to remember either. I had forgotten exactly how supportive people are/were.

Now, I sit here and look at my angel. He's roaring and playing. He's perfect for us and I can't imagine my life without him (even though I'm beyond exhausted b/c he won't sleep). When people say that things happen for a reason, it's true; even if it's not something that I wanted to hear at any particular time. That comment didn't help me but it is true. I wouldn't trade Conner for anything in the entire world. He has just started scrunching up his whole face to smile at me and honestly, there is nothing better! Now, I just have to get a picture of him doing that. Believe me, I've been trying!

In other news, we leave for the beach today. I can't wait to see my family and chill out with the sand and waves. I also can't wait to see Conner's reaction to the sand and waves. I'm really looking forward to this trip. I think that Josh needs to get away as much as I do. Now, I just have to finish packing! :)

>Coming together through blogs

>This morning, I got an email from Ashley. Now, Ashley and I don't really know one another but I know her husband, Matt. I've been following their story with little Carson and it just touches me. I'm devastated for them but know that they are both amazing and that God will take care of them. She just wanted to let me know that it means a lot that I care. If it weren't for blogging (and some facebook) I wouldn't know about their struggle or their precious family. Today, I am extra thankful for my blog (and others' blogs).

I also added a link on the side...it will take you to the beginning of my blog. Sometimes, I just need to be reminded as to why I started this in the first place and it was not to only post pictures of Conner.

>Weekend News

>I know I said that I would do this every Monday and I haven't been doing it.

What was your weekend like?

Ours started with Josh going to work on Saturday. It was his Saturday on and it was fine. Conner and I went for our daily walk. We discovered that there is a family of little bunny rabbits that live up the street in the woods. They are so cute and Harley was dying to catch one! Josh got home Saturday afternoon and took off on his new bike. He sure loves that thing! I do not love that thing. It's very loud and motorcycles (in general) make me very nervous. I know that he's a safe driver but it's not him that I worry about; it's the others on the road. I am happy that it's loud because people will hear him and in return look for the bike. Saturday night, we just hung out at home and had dinner while Conner slept.

Yesterday, Conner and I left for our walk and Josh took off again. While we were walking, we met some neighbors. Jennifer (the mom) was walking with her son and dog. Her son (and I forgot his name) is almost two and they are having a brand new baby in December. I would have never known she was pregnant if she hadn't told me. She's very nice and will be staying home after baby #2 arrives. I was SO excited to have met another mom in the neighborhood. I get lonely during the day. After Conner's nap, we took off to have some lunch and hit up Target and Walmart. We ate at Atlanta Bread Company (YUM) and Conner loved the chicken noodle soup and the turkey from my sandwich. I knew he'd like the soup; chicken is his FAVORITE food. He smacks his lips and says "mmmm" every time he eats it. It's hilarious! We took Conner to the park and let him play with the big kids for a while. There was this one kid that kept "driving" Conner around in the car. I wish I would have had my camera with me because it was too cute. Last night, Josh grilled steak. It was delicious!

Let's talk about sleep. Those of you that know me and/or Conner know that he's not a sleeper. It's not getting better either; in fact, I feel like it's getting worse. For example, he was up every HOUR last night until 2 then he was up every 2 hours. I thought it was getting better but now he's cutting his eye teeth and they are really bothering him. I'm beyond exhausted. I'm so tired that my body hurts. It takes all of my energy to keep my eyes open and get things done. I don't know what to do. I've tried letting him cry. He will just cry for hours. He's cried for 3 hours before. That's too long, in my opinion. The worst part is that he knows how to go to sleep alone; it's staying asleep that we are having a hard time with. Josh is no help. He just sleeps right through Conner waking up and that in itself is very frustrating. He doesn't understand why I'm so tired and why the house isn't as clean as it once was. He doesn't understand that Conner is BUSY. He's SO busy that I can't get things done while he is awake b/c I have to chase him all over the place. I can't put up a baby gate on the stairs b/c Josh still hasn't built a rail for it. Every chance he gets, he beelines it for the stairs. We leave on Wed and I have a TON of stuff to do. I have to pack for 3 people, get the house in order, print directions, send directions to my family that is meeting us there, make sure I have enough "entertainment" for Conner for the car. All of those things have to be done while he's napping (which he is now and I'm blogging but I need this). I'm glad he's still taking 2 naps a day!!!! I guess that was about more than sleep.

I'd better get up and clean these hardwood floors and make the beds before that sweet baby wakes up. Before I go...here are a few pics from our weekend.
