Summertime

One of my favorite things about summer is lightning bugs. As a child, my siblings and I used to wait until dusk and run around like crazy people to catch these little bugs. We'd put them in a jar and watch them light up. SO fun. I want those same memories for my boys. Last night, I took Conner and Parker outside at 9pm and let them run around like crazy people trying to catch them. It brought back memories for me; more importantly, it's starting memories for them.
I totally love that they are BFFs. next summer, there will be three little boys chasing those fun little bugs. My heart is full.

Can't catch up...or keep up

***warning, this post has a lot of images***

OK, so it's been a month since I blogged. It's terrible. In the past month, we went on vacation, Conner went to VBS and Tyler is more alert and doing more.

Speaking of Tyler, he's getting SO big. I took the big kids to the pedi last week for a physical (more on that later) and asked if I could put Ty-Man on the scale...um, 12lbs 13oz. I can NOT believe that he will be 4mos old soon. It's going by way, way too fast. He is rolling everywhere and is the happiest baby. He sleeps 6 hours at night now (yay) and loves to be outside (who doesn't?). He's starting to teethe and has discovered his thumb, which he loves. He's wearing mostly 6mo clothes and some 6-9mo onesies. He smiles all the time and will laugh at me and I die every single time.

The big boys...they are great! They aren't really doing anything new right now but they are getting big. I can't believe in less than a month Parker will be 3. Crazy. Parker still likes pirates but has discovered the magic of Toy Story and sings "you've got a friend in me". It's the cutest thing ever. He anc Conner are getting to the age where they actually play together instead of beside one another and the conversations that they have are so cute to listen to.

I haven't been taking as many photos as I should be but here are some from the past month :)

how am I?? I'm good. I still have about 15lbs to lose and I started the Advocare 24 Day Challenge today. I'm really hoping that it will help to kick start my metabolism and help me to get the last of this baby fat gone. It was challenging today, but only b/c the kids had to have some dental work and were sedated for it so we were at children's all day. Last night, I packed a cooler of foods and was determined to make it work and I did! I'm really excited to do this. Stay tuned!

Moon Dough

My boys love to make messes and the bigger the mess, the better. Every now and then I help them create those messes. Yesterday, I thought it would be a fun/good day to make moon dough. It was 2 fold...they get to make it (which I don't have any photos of) and then they can play in it. Of course when we were almost finished mixing it up, Tyler woke up so I had to go get him and Conner added more ingredients...the bigger the better :) In the end it still worked just fine. I let them play on the deck and had them use a table cloth. They loved it and it kept them busy for at least a half hour. Clean up was easy too.

Just Tyler

Tyler...yea, he's 10w now. I've been very bad at documenting what we know about our sweet baby. At his 2mo appt he was 10lb 9oz and 22.25 in long. He's growing perfectly. He can roll over but chooses not to, so he lays on his belly and fusses or eats his hand. He doesn't sleep much at night...he's up every few hours (mama's tired). He's in 0-3 and 3mo clothes. He rarely cries. He likes to 'talk' and smile. He LOVES to take a bath. He equally LOVES his swing. He tolerates the bouncy seat but would rather the car seat if he is sitting in something other than the swing. he's so sweet and when he snuggles into the nape of my neck, I die. He loves his bottles and will still nurse (thank God b/c if he doesn't, he doesn't poop, isn't that fun?!). He really likes to be outside and now that he is more aware, he's enjoying watching the chaos all around him. He's a loved little baby.

Just Parker

Parker is precious. He is silly, funny, sweet and happy. He's adorable and kind. He loves both of his brothers, chocolate candy, fruit, popscicles and pirates. Oh how he loves pirates. Did you know his eyes are blue? He will tell you, "my eyes are blue b/c the sky is blue". Never mind that Mommy and Grandma have blue eyes, it's from the sky.
