Reindeer Magic

We started a new tradition this year. It started with reading Reindeer Magic and sprinkling the magic onto our lawn. The boys were really excited about this.

I'll post Christmas videos tomorrow :)

Party Prep

At the kids' school, each parent signs up to participate as a 'party parent'. At open house sign up sheets were ready for names. I knew I would be having a baby so I chose to help with the Christmas party...the only spot left was coordinator. For the party, I am on charge of a craft, book or whatever else. I picked up a craft from Michael's and Conner decided we would use the pirate Christmas book. I also have snack tomorrow...so I'm sending in cookie ornaments. Easy. I filled goody bags with another craft, a few pieces of candy and a glow stick or glow bracelet.

I wanted the teacher gifts to be cute, as far as presentation is concerned. I got a terra cotta pot, electrical tape, paint and a metal washer...and made Santa pants. Inside the pot, I put home made chocolate fudge, a gift card, holiday votive and a card from our family. Of course I waited until the last minute to put it all together but I'm super happy with the result.

Pregnancy update

A friend of mine told me that she blogged stalked but didn't see any updates so I decided I would post only an update. Today marks 28 weeks. It's crazy and I'm glad I am nearing the end. At this point my feet and ankles are starting to hurt. I'm not sure if it is due to weight gain, chasing my kids or both. I had my glucose test last week and I passed it, thank God. The baby is doing great. The band is still stable and doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. I don't remember the last time I updated. It here's what they are telling me now and have been for a few weeks or so...the band is a placenta peak. I have 2 placentas. One is a accessory lobe which means it is my active. The other one is attached to the baby. The reason this name is thought to be a placenta peak is due to the fact that I have 2 and there's also the disappearing twin thing. It really seems like this pregnancy as a twin pregnancy but one never developed as he should have. Why did I say he? They would have bee mono amniotic and identical. I am not sad about this. I'm thankful; thankful that we are getting a healthy baby. The ob isn't sure if I will need a c section but will make that call at 35 weeks. I have been having contractions for about a month; I have muscle relaxers that I can take on days where they are really frequent/annoying. The only problem with muscle relaxers is that I can't, well shouldn't, take them when I am alone with the kids bc the will make me loopy. It's almost as if I don't even have the option with Josh working so much.

Here's a picture I snapped this morning while trying to get the boys to wake up.

Every night...

Every night Conner lays on the couch with his daddy. Every night they snuggle up and every night, they both fall asleep.

Gingerbread Houses

Today, I declared a jammie day in our house. I had gifts to wrap, floors to sweep and the kids have been asking to do gingerbread houses. It helped that they both are snotty and have coughs. They didn't complain about getting dressed and rushing out the door. We skipped the gym (and any other thing we could have done today) and stayed home. Conner helped me put bows on gifts, both of them helped me pick up their toys; honestly, I think they needed a day at home!

I put together 2 of the 4 gingerbread houses and then let them 'decorate' them. Sorry in advance for all of the pics...just kidding, I'm not really sorry :)
