>Thankful Thursday...

>Thanks, Shannon. I'm stealing your idea; I'm sure you don't mind ;)

In light of all of the negative going on right now, I'm going to take some time and reflect on what I'm thankful for.

*I'm thankful for my hubby. He is a wonderful guy and I'm so glad he's mine.
*I'm thankful that I am lucky enough to stay at home with out HEALTHY little man. It's truly a privileged and I wouldn't trade the worst day for going back to work.
*I'm thankful for my mom. She always listens to me (even when I say the same thing 247385289395399 times). She's never judgmental and takes me as I am.
*I'm thankful that the old house is not ours anymore. One mortgage is much easier to handle.
*I'm thankful to the God I serve. He is merciful, forgiving and all loving. Without him, I'd be nothing.

>Hey, where's my egg?

>Lisa gave Conner this awesome leap frog table. The only thing missing was the balls so we decided that plastic Easter eggs work great! Conner doesn't understand what that toy does with his eggs or his rattles. So funny!!

>I needed this

>1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

I saw it on Mandi's facebook profile and I needed to hear it. please keep us in your prayers.

>8 mos

>Wow! Where does the time go? Conner is 8 mos old today and I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that. I even counted the months on my fingers to be sure that I was right and it really IS 8 mos already. He's such a fun little guy. He brings us so much joy; it amazes me. He really isn't doing anything new. He started cruising sideways on the couch and stairs but nothing really new. He doesn't seem too interested in walking and might just prove the pedi wrong. She said he'd be walking by 9 mos. I know that a LOT can happen in a month so I'm not going to get too confident that he won't be walking. He now has two top teeth and two bottom teeth. There is one more that I can see on the top that is coming through. He definitely doesn't look like a baby anymore when he smiles.

We've been very busy with playdates. Conner LOVES the older kids and thinks he can keep up with them. They run and he crawls faster. It's adorable. We have a few playdates this week and we're looking forward to them.

The other thing that is HUGE that is happening this week is a closing. Our old house is (almost)SOLD. We close on Tuesday and Josh and I are so happy that we aren't going to be responsible for two mortgages anymore.

We're going over a few "speed bumps". Keep us in your prayers.

Here's the little guy with Daddy in the "redneck" pool. We love that pool.
